To help provide additional support to students and families, Comcast today announced it will continue to provide 60 days of free Internet service to new, eligible Internet Essentials customers. We will also continue to waive, through the end of the year, the requirement that customers do not have a past due balance with Comcast to qualify for the free offer.

A social security number is not required to apply for Internet Essentials. In fact, there are 28 different kinds of documents Comcast will accept, including municipal IDs. A full list can be found at https://internetessentials.com/get-help and we’ve recently increased the speed of the service to 25 Mbps downstream and 3 Mbps upstream
